Going to see the Dark Knight tonight and i am stoked. I watched the original Batman last night for a little compare and contrast and omg i forgot what an over the top (and kinda pudgy?) freakshow Jack Nicholson's joker was. Or that Prince did several bizzarro-cheeseball songs for the soundtrack too. For example, the G-rated Trust, ("Sex!... its not that kind of party!") in which scene the Joker and his henchmen first make it rain at the Gotham 200th anniversary parade and then gas the lot of them (Cecily: "you know its poisonous cuz its green"). As well as this gem, Partyman:
However, while watching Michael Keaton's batman, I was struck by and subsequently could not shut up about:
1) how much he sounded like Beetlejuice - like he stepped off that set and onto this one and forgot to switch it off, as well as
2) how very hilarious I used to think that movie Multiplicity was. you know the one, where he keeps cloning himself in order to like avoid foreclosure or something and comedy ensues. That was a dumb, dumb movie whose genius i spent many minutes considering.
